These large sized pearls are very rare since they are the largest sized pearls that are still in very round shape. Since pearls are the same as human who are also made of nature, a pearl in that large size will have to stay in water 3 or 4 times longer than a smaller sized pearl. So imagine an old lady still in the same perfect shape as a young girl, which is possible but very rare. Therefore, when it comes to pearls, they are much more expensive.
Because they had to stay in the water longer and subject to more environmental hazards, they do come with a little surface markings, just as freckles for an older person.
The pearls used here rated as AA quality. The earrings are set in solid 14k yellow gold. They are for pierced ears.
